St Patrick's Cathedral and the Book of Kells

Since yesterday was St. Patrick's Day, I dug up some photos I took last year in Dublin. It was a bit rainy and cold, but the atmosphere at St. Patrick's Cathedral was breathtaking. Almond trees full of flowers, the faint sound of the church operation and the fog that surrounded us made us feel like we were in a black and white movie.
After walking a bit in the rain, we arrived at the Trinity College Dublin, where there is the biggest library I've ever seen and of course the book of Kells. It is an illuminated manuscript Gospel book in Latin, containing the four Gospels of the New Testament together with various prefatory texts and tables, according to Wikipedia. I was in love with the library, and even if you couldn't have a closer look at the books and, channelling my inner Belle, I wanted to start singing on top of a staircase!
Hope you enjoy the photos!!
