Places to visit: Berlin

Hello there!

It's been a while since I travelled abroad and I have to say that I've missed it a lot. Being able to see new places, learn something new and meet new people is always fascinating to me. So, when I and a friend of mine decided to travel to Berlin I was beyond excited.

We stayed at a hotel close to a metro station, which was super convenient because Berlin is a big city and we had to use the subway every day. When we arrived we didn't really have anything planned apart from a few things that we would like to visit. Since on the first day we were tired from the trip, we just went shopping and wandered around in the city. We were lucky to meet another friend who lives in Berlin so we went out for drinks and he showed us the city by night.

The next few days passed without us realizing it, since every day we visited a lot of monuments and museums. We went to the Brandenburg Gate, the Rebuilt Reichstag, the Museum Island (which was my favourite), the Berlin Wall Memorial and Checkpoint Charlie, the Charlottenburg Palace and Park, the Jewish Museum, the Pergamon Museum, the Berlin Cathedral Church, the East Side Gallery and in Alexanderplatz where I did most of my shopping and the "Berliner Fernsehturm" a TV tower from where you can see the entire Berlin.

In general, I really liked the city, as it combines a lot of different elements, such as traditional art and graffiti, history and clubs, and there is definitely something for every taste. I would love to visit Berlin another time as well since now that I've been to most of the sights I feel it would be a great opportunity to explore the city some more.
